Pooja Kothari, Esq.

Pooja started Boundless Awareness to provide practical ways to interrupt unconscious bias with confidence and compassion. In teaching others how to confront bias and create a productive dialogue, Pooja draws from both her professional and personal experiences. For seven years, Pooja worked as a public defender at The Legal Aid Society, Criminal Defense Practice representing indigent clients who were overwhelmingly people of color in the criminal system. And as a queer, first-generation Indian-American woman, Pooja’s life experience with intersections of bias provides the compassionate framework she uses in her workshops. Since founding Boundless Awareness, she has worked with a diverse range of clients, including colleges, corporations, government agencies, and nonprofits. Her workshops lead participants on a journey through carefully designed exercises, which require participation on every level so that participants have an experience, not a lecture. Above all, Pooja believes that it is never too late to begin your anti-oppression journey and start confronting bias in your daily life.
